Table Rock Tournament Changes

Posted by on May 14, 2015

Attention Teen Anglers, Fishing Advisers, Staff, and Parents.

The Corp of Engineers has changed our plans tremendously. We were scheduled to launch and weigh in at Mill Creek Ramp. However, as of May 15th the park reduces the amount of boats that can utilize the ramp to 60. There is another tournament that was scheduled before ours and they will only allow us to have 35 boats launch from Mill Creek. They were also going to charge $3.00 per vehicle coming to the weigh-in.

You may launch from Joe Bald, Aunts Creek, Port of Kimberling, or any resort that will allow you to launch.

We will have a table by the courtesy dock for tournament check in. Drop one student off at courtesy dock to check in and receive your boat number. We will have a drive by live well check and launch from the courtesy dock at Mill Creek.

Tournament hours have been changed to 6am to 2pm. At check in we will check live wells for number of fish and any dead fish. Then you can trailer your boat and drive to the weigh in location. Weigh-In location is First Baptist Church Community Center located at Hwy 13 and Oak Drive.

Directions from Mill Creek: Go north of Hwy 13 to past the second stop light (Lake Shore) Turn Right on Oak Drive. Follow Oak Drive to Community center.

Directions from Aunts Creek and Joe Bald: Go South on Hwy 13 down the hill, Turn Left on Oak Drive just past MA's Place Restaurant (on right). Follow Oak Drive around to Community center.

The Corps wanted us to have the weigh in at Joe Bald Access but it has no courtesy dock and no facilities. We realize that most boaters do not like to beach there boats and have taken that into considerations.

We will have a team of people at Mill Creek and Joe Bald to help in any way we can.

Things to consider:

Port of Kimberling is having a boat show on Saturday and Sunday.

Oakley Big Bass is having weigh-ins at Long Creek.

Again we apologize for the inconvenience but it started out as a great plan but was spoiled by things not in our control. We must be flexible and diligent.

Thank you.
